MY MESSAGE:
Every thousand miles begins with one step, and every journey begins at home. I can still remember buying our first home….
I was born and raised in Southern California and My husband Randy was born and raised in Toronto. I decide to move to Canada in 1990 to be closer to my mother. In 1992 I met the love of my life in Brampton and started making memories as a couple. We soon married and moved to our first apartment in the Meadowvale area of Mississauga.
Soon after moving into our first apartment together we wanted to explore our options and see what it would take for us to buy our first home. As a first-time homebuyer, we knew we needed to save money and spend a considerable amount of time researching our purchase. So that’s exactly what we did. We read as much as we could, talked to as many people as possible, educated ourselves on the local real estate market, and explored all our options and aspect of the home buying process.
In 1995 we purchased our first house directly from the builder in the Lisgar area of Mississauga. The excitement we felt when purchasing our very first home was very exciting but extremely scary at the same time. I have to say it was one of the happiest memories we've shared as a couple. It was a deep feeling of satisfaction and a definite sigh of relief once the entire process was behind us. We had a set of shiny new keys, and a place that we could call “ours”. The joyful feeling that I experience helped me come to the conclusion that I wanted to help others, and be a part of their journey in finding their dream home.
After several years of being in our first home, attaining our first dog together and flourishing in our careers, it was time to start thinking about having a family. To our surprise we were blessed with 3 beautiful children all at once “triplets” and quickly came to the realization that our home was not big enough for an instant family. We than had to start the process of looking for another home all over again. This time we based our home buying process upon our prior knowledge and experience that we obtained with a much better understanding of what we wanted and needed. After searching for several months we found a lovely place in Central Erin Mills that we now call home.
You can see that within a 24 year period we never moved very far, always moving within minutes from one home to the next. We are truly blessed to be in an amazing neighborhood, with remarkable amenities, schools, and parks, we couldn’t have chosen a better area to raise our children. Mississauga is a great place to live, with strong community values, and a wide selection of excellent housing options.
